A few notes:
The data is from the websites of the manufacturers and should be read as measured under ideal conditions. Especially the speed and distance can vary based on the riders weight and style.

In wheels motors are (as you can guess) inside the wheel and not visible. Other motors are external and connected with a belt to the wheels. Belts usually give you more traction for better acceleration as well as braking.

Next to performance, speed and distance you should think first where you will ride the board. Depending on where you should consider street, all-terrain or off-road wheels as described in our electric skateboard wheels article.
The main advantage of In-Wheel motors are that they wheels are not slowed down by the motor. This means that you can your your in-wheel electric longboard like a normal longboard if the motor is turned off.
Motor with belts give you however more torque which leads into faster acceleration, but even more important more reliable breaking.
