Lift5 - 2025 Lift Foils models

The Lift5 was presented at the boot Dusseldorf boat show as part of the new 2025 Lift Foils eFoil models.

Lift5 - The Lift Foils community had been waiting a long time for something new from Puerto Rico. Now the 2025 Lift Foils models were shown for the first time at the boot Dusseldorf boat show.
Of course, there are new colors, as there are every year, but this time, after years without major changes, a break with the compatibility to the older models Lift1 to Lift4 was dared. In my opinion, this was long overdue.

Lift5 - Plug & Play

The first thing you notice about the Lift5 boards is that there is no longer a battery compartment. The battery is now simply inserted into the board from above, as is already the case with Waydoo.

This finally puts an end to the cable and hose clutter in the battery compartment of the Lift5 boards.

In addition, the outdated water cooling of the controller has been eliminated. The controller now appears to be located under the board, as already implemented from Fliteboard and Aerofoils. Here it is easier to cool.

As you can see in the picture above, the controller does not appear to be attached to the end of the mast, but from below in the board:

Somehow you have to get to the electronics in case of support 😉

But not only the battery is “plug & play”, the mast is now also attached to the board without screws. Such a “click to ride” system is already known from Awake Boards.

You can see exactly how it works in the following video from our E-SURFER YouTube channel:

And it should now also be possible to attach the wings without screws, but this was not shown. The remote control was also not shown. The drive pockets of the Lift5 have been adapted. They are now a little bigger and black.

The new models are no longer compatible with the old batteries and masts from Lift Foils, but it was time to move in a new direction.

However, the motor is still attached to the mast. While almost all eFoil manufacturers now mount the drive at the same height as the front wing to create a more stable ride, Lift Foils is sticking with the motor bolted to the mast.

I don't understand this, because the effective mast length is shortened.

Lift5 - X Model

In addition to the 5'4 Cruiser, 4.9 Sport and 4.2 Pro models from Lift Foils, there is now also a Lift X model. With a volume of only 42 liters, it is specially designed for riding waves. It therefore only holds a new, very small battery.

This follows Fliteboard's strategy of targeting the same audience with the Ultra L2 and Nano batteries.

Prices and availability

No further details were given here at the show. There was also no brochure for the 2025 Lift Foils models. They want to sell the rest of the Lift4 models first.

The boards should be available in summer 2025 and the price of the carbon models should be around 15,000 EUR including VAT. So in the same price range as before.

You can find more pictures of the Lift5 in the E-SURFER forum. Here you can also share your opinion on the new Lift Foils eFoils with the community.
