Jetsurf

Jetsurf is a Czech manufacturer of motorized surfboards. Jetsurf's petrol-powered jetboards have been the market leader in their class for years.

In 2020, the team around founder Martin Sula also launched an electric version on the market with the Jetsurf Electric, although the focus at the time was still on combustion engines.

Engine noise and exhaust fumes from petrol-powered jetboards were increasingly being reduced by new technologies. In 2024, Jetsurf launched the Electric 2 and ski models.

ANSWER TO
YOUR QUESTIONS

How much does a Jetsurf cost?

The Jetsurf models range between 10,000 and 17,000 EUR incl. VAT. The electric version is in the upper segment.

Are Jetsurf jetboards allowed?

Basically yes. Jetsurf boards are classified in Germany by the Wasserstraßenschifffahrtsamt (WSA) as a water motorcycle (jet ski) and must carry a license plate as soon as they have more than 2.21 kW (3 hp) of power. Other rules may apply to local waters. For example, Jetboards are not allowed on Bavarian lakes and Lake Constance. In Austria the rules are not clear and in Switzerland motorized surfboards are not allowed. You can find out more in our article Legal situation around eFoils and Jetboards.

The Jetsurf models can reach speeds of 40 to 60 km/h.
