SEABOB is the brand of the German CAYAGO AG for electric underwater scooters. Development happens in Stuttgart, production in Bad Salzuflen – where the company also runs its own test pool, and that is where we have ridden the models ourselves. At E-SURFER you get three SEABOB models between 11,050 and 37,990 euros.
The three models differ above all in drive. All prices include 19% German VAT:
SEABOB F9 — 11,050 € · 22.9 kg · 60 TP at 2.6 kW. The entry point to the F9 series, styled by Studio F. A. Porsche. With the larger battery you get 60 minutes of run time instead of 40.
SEABOB F9 S — 14,735 € · 25.9 kg · 84 TP at 3.6 kW. The sporty version with noticeably more pull and around 50 minutes of run time.
SEABOB SE63 for Automobili Lamborghini — 37,990 € · 35 kg · 162 TP at 6.3 kW. The special edition from the collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini: almost twice the drive of the F9 S, start button and speedometer taken from the supercars, six original Lamborghini colours. From us it comes with the Performance Board included, for up to 35 km/h on the surface.

SEABOB does not state drive in kilograms of thrust but as thrust performance (TP). The figure is calculated by a formula based on thrust, vehicle weight and electrical power – it therefore relates the force to what actually has to be moved.
Within the brand that makes the models directly comparable: 60 TP on the F9, 84 TP on the F9 S, 162 TP on the SE63. Against thrust figures from other manufacturers, however, TP cannot be set – these are different quantities.
Every SEABOB model dives to a maximum of 25 metres. The depth is monitored electronically: from the factory the machine cuts out at three metres, and the limit can be raised to the full 25 metres. That covers the entire range in which sport divers operate.
On speed, CAYAGO gives no figure for the F9 series – which is why there is deliberately no km/h number here. A documented value exists only for the SE63: up to 35 km/h on the surface, and only with the Performance Board fitted, riding prone.
If this is your first time on an underwater scooter, the F9 is entirely enough. At 22.9 kg it is the lightest, the easiest to handle, and with the large battery it has the longest run time in the range.
The F9 S pays off if you regularly ride against a current or travel with equipment. Three kilos more, but 40 per cent more drive.
The SE63 is a different calibre – and a statement. People who buy it rarely do so for the 162 TP alone, but for the Lamborghini collaboration and the build quality. For diving alone you do not need it.
As an alternative we stock the DivingJet BEAST. The difference is clearly divided: with 20 hp and up to 58 km/h the BEAST is the speed machine for the surface, but it weighs 47.3 kg. The SEABOB models are built for efficient diving, are considerably lighter and are less demanding to handle. If you want to dive, take a SEABOB – if you want speed, take the BEAST.
We at E-SURFER have been riding electric water toys since 2017 and have had SEABOB in our range for years. We have ridden the models in the factory test pool in Bad Salzuflen, in the sea off Cannes and in Croatia – and we saw the SE63 at boot 2026 in Düsseldorf, where CAYAGO exhibited it next to the Lamborghini Revuelto.
What we take away from that time: the step from the F9 to the F9 S is clearly noticeable in the water, but the biggest practical difference is weight. Anyone who has to get the scooter off the bathing platform on their own feels every kilo.

A jet drive draws water in at the front and expels it at the back. Every model dives to a maximum depth of 25 metres; the depth is monitored electronically and limited to three metres from the factory.
A SEABOB is driven by an electric motor feeding a jet nozzle: it draws water in at the front and pushes it out at the back. You steer purely by shifting your weight, holding on to two grips and guiding the machine with your body. Power is regulated electronically and steplessly; let go of the trigger and water resistance slows the machine within a short distance.
CAYAGO publishes no speed figures for the F9 series and quotes thrust performance instead: 60 TP on the F9 and 84 TP on the F9 S. A SEABOB runs for roughly 40 to 60 minutes on one charge, depending on the model. The F9 manages around 40 minutes with the standard battery and about 60 with the larger one; the F9 S sits at roughly 50 minutes and the SE63 at around 60 on average. How far that takes you depends on how you ride — constant full throttle drains the battery far faster than calm gliding underwater.
For your first underwater scooter the SEABOB F9 is enough: at 22.9 kg it is the lightest, the easiest to handle and, with the larger battery, has the longest run time.
