Now back zu our article from 2017 ...
WakeJet
The WakeJet was combining the freedom of surfing with the agility and speed of a wakeboard. The Radinn Wakejet is designed for riders up 285 lbs and offers a speed up to 29 mph.You can ride the electric wakeboard by sitting, laying or standing. It is fully waterproof and has removable bindings.
With the Wakejet iOS App you can configure the board in terms of speed and acceleration. The board comes in 3 colours: green, white and blue and costs 15,000 EUR.
The battery lasts 15-20 minutes at full speed and it takes about 2 hours to re-charge. The carbon fibre board with re-enforced kevlar is 75 x 32 x 7 inches and a has a lithium ion battery. It is using a jet engine.

The onboard computer is monitoring the temperature of the motor, the electronics and battery pack and will notify the rider and shut down the motor if something is wrong. The computer is also communicating with the iOS App. Software updates for the App and the onboard systems will be available.
Electric wakeboard remote control
The remote control is controlling the speed and acceleration and shows the remaining battery power of the board. It is of course waterproof and lasts fully loaded for 5 hours in use.

The remote is nicely designed and uses vibration to indicate status and is charged wireless with inductive charging.
