Hi, I'm Andreas Lakeberg, founder and managing director of E-SURFER. In 2017 I started the world's first blog about electric surfboards, and since 2019 we have been selling eFoils and jetboards — from our showroom at Funkhaus Berlin. I founded E-SURFER together with my wife Andrea.
You'll be advised by Andreas Lakeberg, who has been testing and writing about eFoils and jetboards since 2017 and has trained hundreds of riders himself. He is a founding member and board member of the Global Foil Board Sports Association (GFA), the global association responsible for eFoils, among other things.
We are in direct contact with the founders of the brands we carry — and our hands-on experience feeds into the further development of their boards.
A manufacturer can only recommend its own board. That's not a criticism — it's their job. Ours is a different one: we carry eight brands and have been riding them ourselves since 2017. What we learn along the way, we don't keep to ourselves. The eFoil Doctor even answers technical questions about brands we don't sell at all. That's why you can trust our recommendation: we gain nothing from selling you the wrong board — but everything from you coming back in two years.
