After the the old Lampuga company went bankrupt earlier this year, the Lampuga electric surfboards are finally back.

The new Lampuga Boost and Lampuga Air will be presented end of January 2018 at the „Boot“ water sports trade show in Düsseldorf.

A completely new Lampuga company was formed after the assets were acquired in summer 2017. New staff, new management and a new location. And most important new boards!

The new Lampuga electric surfboards are developed in Rastatt, Germany, close to the French border. The new boards offer a new design and improved technology, but are still „made in Germany“.

At the Boot Show from January 20th to 28th in Dusseldorf the first new models will be presented.

Lampuga Boost

The fast Lampuga Boost and the inflatable Lampuga Air. All information based on an exclusive preview from the manufacturer.

Lampuga Boost

The Lampuga Boost with its carbon fibre design is promising 36 mph or 58 km/h. That’s pretty fast for an electric surfboard. The board is 256 cm long and 80 cm wide and has a weight of 88 lbs or 40 kg.

This might sound heavy, but the weight is also supposed to stabilise the ride.

The Jet engine is powered by a swappable Lithium Ion battery which extends the ride in case you have more batteries. Each battery is good for a 45 minutes ride.

Lampuga Air

If you are looking for an electric surfboard which is easier to transport, you should have a look into the Lampuga Air. The inflatable board is connected to the „Power-Box“ which includes battery, electronics and the jet engine.

According to Lampuga the connection of the inflatable body and Power-Box is easier compared to the process of the former Lampuga Air.

The board is with 221 cm shorter than the Lampuga Boost and is reaching 50 km/h. Still fast enough 😉 It is using the same battery and is also good for a 45 minutes ride.

We are looking forward to the Boot trade-show where we can not only see the first models live, but also additional technical details will be released.

In addition first orders will be taken at the boot trade-show and they are supposed to be shipped in the first half of 2018.
