You can easily compare manufacturers such as ScubaJet, Onean or Sipaboards according to speed, length, range, weight, type (conversion kit or complete board) and drive (jet or propeller). We want to emphasize that most of the data in these tables is from the manufacturers and was probably measured under ideal conditions. Light driver, hardly any wind, no waves, etc.

We want to keep this electric SUP comparison as complete as possible. Therefore, in the next table we list models that are no longer on the market. But you may still get used boards on the market.

More about the electric SUP comparison

First you should decide whether you want to keep and upgrade an existing stand up paddle surfboard, or whether you prefer a complete SUP surfboard with a motor. The conversion kit has the advantage that you can choose from virtually all SUP surfboards. The SUP motor can be mounted on all boards with slide-in or US fin boxes. You are also flexible for different family members, as you can use the drive for several boards.

Cheap SUP motor models use a propeller and are therefore usually very bulky. This means that the water resistance is very high if you want to use the surfboard without the motor running. Often such a solution is difficult to control. Such cheap models are available from 400 EUR on Amazon & Co. However, these products did not last long in our tests. Premium SUP motors like Scubajet are around 2,000 EUR, but do not have these problems and can also be used as a diving scooter. But of course, this is a completely different price tag.

Complete electric SUPs are usually easier to handle for setup. In addition, the motors of the iSUP models, like the Sipaboards, also act as an electric pump to inflate the iSUP surfboard.

You will find more reviews in our E-SUP section and we are currently planning to set up a laboratory in which we can test all boards ourselves under the same conditions. In particular, the speed and range can vary greatly depending on the weight and style of the rider.

Please let us know if you think we’ve forgotten a brand. Ideally via our forum. You can ask questions in our E-SUP forum and read feedback from other users.

Please note that E-SUPs are good for enjoying nature on a lake or on the sea with small waves at 5-10 km/h. However, they cannot be compared to traditional jetboards. For more action at speeds of 30 to 60 km/h, check out electric surfboards like, Radinn, Lampuga or the eFoil. However, it only starts here from 10,000 EUR.

We hope that these electric SUP comparison tables are helpful for you. Have fun and keep riding …
