In our Mako Slingshot review we had a closer look at the new petrol powered surfboard made in England from Mako Boardsports Ltd.
The board is completely designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
The Mako jetboards is good for riders up to 100 kg or 220 lbs and is supposed to achieve a speed of 55 km/h or 34 mph.
With a fuel capacity of 2.8 litres or 0.74 gal it shall have a cruising range of 40 minutes at full speed.
Please check our Mako Slingshot review video from the Allstar Jetboard Tour Team:
The board is made out of high grade carbon fibre and is equipped with a 100cc 2 stroke engine which is water cooled.
The weight is 19.5 kg or 42 lbs.
The board comes with a Mako branded board bag and even a Mako Surf Hoodie towel.
As the Jetsurf boards the Mako Slingshot has the remote (with on & off button) integrated into the handle. But what is unique is that you easily can adjust the length of the cable for different riders.
The battery for the electrics in the jetboard is a battery pack which can be easily removed to charge it.
You don’t need to open the board to refill the fuel. This is an advantage compared to other boards.
On the other hand the board is really very easy to open if you need access to the engine. Just push 3 buttons and you can open it. Very smart.
The rear fin and the two side fins can also be very easily replaced or removed for travel.
Once available you can get the board in our shop at Mako Slingshot 2018 jetboard for sale
The Mako Slingshot is supposed to be available from mid 2018 for a price of 8,550 EUR plus VAT and shipping.
We hope you enjoyed our Mako Slingshot review. We put both thumbs up for the Mako!
