Whether jetboards, eFoils, or underwater scooters, luxury water toys usually cost between €13,000 and €20,000. Cheaper options often offer less performance, minimal features, and sometimes poor quality.
In recent years, eFoils have become extremely popular and are now the best-selling water toy. Whereas diving scooters used to be the number one choice on luxury yachts, electric surfboards are now becoming increasingly common. This includes jetboards and eFoils.
Motorized surfboards are divided into four categories: E-SUP, jetboard, foil assist, and eFoil.
E-SUPs, or electric SUP surfboards, are stand-up paddle boards with electric motors that only allow low speeds of 5 to 10 km/h.
Jetboards, on the other hand, allow speeds of up to 60 km/h. Jetboards must therefore also be registered and bear a license plate.
eFoils are surfboards with an underwater wing attached to an approximately 80 cm long mast to which the motor is also attached. This allows the eFoils (electric hydrofoils) to hover above the water surface.
A Foil Assist is a support for a foil without a motor.
